i feed on the moonlight

i soak in it and let the stars traverse my veins

the clouds unravel into the darkness

succumbing to the power of nocturnal forces

when the sunsets

i feel the energy pulsating under my skin

an itch i can’t ignore

i let my inhibitions come undone like the clouds

and i scratch that inner desire

i make scars like new constellations

but i don’t need wishes

when i am the night

i make shooting stars for myself
